Lyra blinked as she looked around. She had snuck out of her district to look for some wild berries and she had somehow had found her way to the ruins of district thirteen. She had heard about this place, but she had never actually thought she would end up here. She looked around making sure that that she would not be seen by anyone from the capital. Getting caught was not an option. She remained hidden to the best of her ability.
She sighed while think of how she had gotten into this situation. She had an argument with her sister only hours before about berries. She wanted to have some for lunch, but she could not get any. Lyra wanted her sister to calm down and just wait until she could get some, but she would not listen. Somehow they had gotten to the topic about wild berries and how they should not have been hard to find in the forest. Her sister had never left the district so she could not know hard it was not find the berries. She did not know how she volunteered to go collect the berries but she had. Getting out had not been that difficult as she had remembered.
She slowly made her way through the ruins wondering if there was something interesting to be found here. She did not know what she could find, but there was one way to find the answer. She was going to look around with caution. She could not forget that she was not suppose to be here no matter what the reason.

Panthea didn't know how far she had traveled from her District but she didn't really care. As long as she came home with a nice buck, her father would be proud of her. So far she had caught three rabbits. She had them tied up in a tree so nothing could get to them but her.
She had her bow in her hands and an arrow strung. Her eyes glanced around at the surrounding area every few seconds and she kept sneaking peeks behind her. She could not get caught. Being out of your District was illegal. As soon as I find a nice buck, I'm going to head back. She kept telling herself that. But she didn't know just how far away from her District she had gone until she found herself in the ruins of District Thirteen.
Her eyes were wide for but a second and she silently cursed herself for going so far. She hoped she could find her way back home. She looked around and then she noticed the other girl. Quickly, she hid behind a tree, peeking out at the girl. She raised her bow and arrow and then stepped out from behind the tree, aiming for the girl. She didn't look like a person from the Capitol but Panthea was going to take any chances. "Who are you?" Panthea's voice was cold, strong, and dominating. Her icey eyes were narrowed as she watched the other girl.

Lyra froze when some asked her is a dominating voice who she was. She turned around and saw the bow and arrow pointed at her. She stood there not moving not wanting to pose as a threat. She guessed that a person from capital would not be asking questions, but this person was also someone that she had seen in her district. "Isn't it customary to introduce yourself before you ask from someone else's name." Her voice remained calm and it did not show that she was scared of the weapon being aimed at her.
She did not like standing out in the open like this. If a patrol from the capitol came they would be seen right away. "How about we move to a place with more cover before you continue to threaten me." She waited for the person in front of her to put the weapon down before she decided to make a move. Last thing she wanted was to get shot with an arrow. How could she explain such an injury. If she told her parents she was shot by another person they would not let her leave the district again.

Panthea slowly lowered her weapon as the stranger said to look for cover. She wasn't from the Capitol so she had no reason to be threatened. Hesitantly, she placed the arrow back in the quiver on her back and put the bow over her shoulder. "My name is Panthea Sable," her voice was still cold but her eyes were no longer narrowed, "Now who are you?"
Panthea didn't move though she knew that she and the stranger should find cover. Her eyes started to search the sky though she was sure she would hear a hovercraft or any people coming before they could see them. However, she did not want to be caught out here like this. What would Racham say if she never should up back at her District like she said she would? She was surprised he didn't follow her.
Her eyes became trained on the stranger again and she searched for any weapon. She didn't exacly see one. Cautiously, she took a step toward the stranger. "We should find cover. Wouldn't want to be caught out here, eh?"

Lyra sighed as the arrow was put away. Well at least she did not have to worry about being shot with an arrow. Now that she had heard the name of the person in front of her it was time for her to introduce herself. "My name is Lyra Hilroy." She did not ask why the person in front of her had a weapon and she did not want to know. She had only seen a weapon while watching the games so she was not interested in it much. All weapons were to her was a way to kill something.
She looked around and found the ruins of a building. The roof was in some sort of shape and most likely give some sort of cover. That would be a good place to hid if needed. "Getting caught is not on my list of things I would like to do today." She moved towards the building. "If I wanted to harm you I would have done it he second you put away your weapon. However, I prefer not fighting." She cautiously took a couple steps into the building to see how stable it was. She did not want the roof to cave in on her while she was in it. No one would come to help her it that happened.

Though the girl who called herself Lyra said that she would not harm her, she didn't completely trust her. Though, why would Lyra harm her? She was not from the Capitol and did not want to kill her. If she wanted to, she would have done it while the girl didn't even know she was there. Though, the remark she made did anger Panthea a little. "If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead by now. However, I prefer killing animals." Panthea never thought about what she was saying before she said it. If she thought it, it would most likely come out. This is way not many people like her.
And though Panthea was unarmed, she could easily draw an arrow and string her bow in about a second. She was used to it, being a huntress.
The huntress followed Lyra into the building, looking around just in case this thing would collapse. She wasn't that fast but if she wanted to move, she could move. And Panthea was not planning on getting stuck in this dump with Lyra.

Lyra looked at Panthea with some surprise when she mentioned killing. She had not mentioned anything about killing her. It seemed like Panthea was the direct type. "I see. I guess that's a good thing. I don't want to die yet." She moved further into the building and she saw the building was a lot more sturdier then it looked. She was not completely sure that the building would not collapse if something strong hit it. She hoped that something like that would not happen while she was in the building. She remained standing in case luck was not on her side.
She wondered why Panthea was in the region. She had accidentally found her way here, but she wondered why Panthea was here. The only way to find out was to ask directly. "So what brings you to the ruins of this district?" She hoped for an answer but not getting one would be fine as well. Everyone has a right to their privacy. She had no problems telling others people that were not from the capital that she was looking for berries. Maybe they could direct her to some of the berries she was looking for.

A smirk became painted on Panthea's face as Lyra looked at her in surprise. That was right. She said kill. "It's hard not to die in a world centered around death."
She only took one other step inside the building. She wanted to be as close to the exit as possible. She didn't care that it looked sturdy - it was ruins. And what would stop this building from collapsing any moment now?
Her arms crossed over her chest. She didn't like being here and she knew she should just go home. She looked at Lyra again when she asked what she was doing here. "What are you doing here?" Was this not the person that said you should introduce yourself before asking for someone's name? "You should state your intentions before asking for mine."

Lyra knew that she had that coming. She had done the same thing when Panthea had asked for her name. There was nothing wrong with answering the question. Unless of course gathering berries was something that was considered wrong. Last time she checked leaving the district was illegal, but not gathering berries. "I was looking for wild berries and somehow found myself here. Though I still have no berries and found my way here. What horrible luck I have today." Now it was Panthea's turn to answer. That was why she had answered the question. "So what had led you to the ruins?"
She noticed that Panthea did not like being here. She stood wondering if Panthea would leave of stay. It did not matter much. She was going to go home no matter what when she was done with this conversation. She did not want to stay out to late just in case the wild animals were to get hungry for humans. It would be fine to go home with out berries. She would convince her sister that she had not found any. Her sister could wait until the next time she could get berries.

Wild berries? Surely that wasn't save. Most of the wild berries were poison. How would she tell the difference? Panthea crossed her arms over her chest. Lyra had no reason to lie to her, but she couldn't be sure. Still, it was her turn to answer the question. Unlike her, Panthea had something to worry about. Gathering berries weren't illegal but hunting was. Oh well. So was going out of District boundaries. "I'm was hunting." Short. Simple. To the point. Just how she liked it.
The only reason Panthea didn't like being here was because it was falling apart. Slowly but surly. And the faster she got out of here, the faster she could go kill a buck and then get home. Hopefully, she'd be able to find her way back. If not, she was pretty much in trouble.
Her eyes continued to roam around, often scanning the walls and ceiling for any signs that the building was going to cave. But so far, she hadn't seen any.

Lyra laughed to her self. A gather and a hunter had meet in the oddest places. She had never thought of hunting. It was illegal and quite difficult. She had the patience to grow plants, but she hated waiting to find something to hunt. She was curious what she was hunting, but if had not told her straight out what she was hunting there was not much of a point asking. She was not one to pry if the person did not want to tell then it was up to them. That way she did not have to get to close to anyone. A small conversation meant little to her. She did it every day with those around her. That what this was to her.
"It look like you are uncomfortable in here. If you want we can find cover in the trees. There should be some trees that provided the needed cover and are a lot more stable than this building." She did not want to leave building, but she did not want to constantly think of what would happen if the building collapsed within an instant. She was not the best at finding the cover that was needed, but she guessed that Panthea would be able to find some good cover. She looked at Panthea waiting to see her response.

Hunting was illegal. But difficult? Not for her. She was born in a District built around hunting, though. And she was skilled with a bow and arrow. It just came naturally. Panthea had loads of patience on a good day. But when she couldn't find a single animal to bring back home, it starts to wear thin.
Her eyes narrowed again as Lyra pointed out her obvious feelings toward a building that was falling apart. Of course she was uncomfortable here. It's in the ruins of District Thirteen and it's falling apart. Not a very safe combination. "There are plenty of trees. We should move to one so we don't have to worry about something collapsing onto our heads."
She turned her back to Lyra and walked from the building slowly, her eyes searching the sky first. Just in case. After she had made sure that the coast was clear, she started to walk back to the first tree that she had hid behind. It was rather large. However it looked a little harder to climb. The first limb was above her head so she'd have to pull herself up then pull Lyra up if she couldn't climb. So troublesome. She sighed softly as she reached up and grabbed a hold of the first limb while placing her foot on the trunk for support. She then quickly pulled herself up noiselessly and got her footing on the branch. That wasn't so hard. She looked down, wondering if Lyra had followed. She didn't bother to check as she walked off.

Lyra followed Panthea out of the building. She had not known that they would leave so quickly. She silently followed her to the tree. She hated to climb trees, but she could if she needed to. She looked at the branch. She had not expected the first branch to be so far from the ground. She had to slightly jump to grab the branch. She caught the branch on her first try and she started to climb onto the branch before she could no long keep her hold on it. She saw that Panthea used the trunk as support she pulled herself up on the branch. She eventual got her upper torso on the branch but she could not get her legs onto the branch.
She looked at Panthea. "Can I get a little help?" She continued to attempted to get her foot onto the branch but she was not having any luck. She hung there unable to get higher without something to support her feet. She hid her face not to show how embarrassed she was not being able to climb the tree. The only thing worse then this would be if someone would come now and look up her skirt.

Once Panthea realized she had followed, she moved to a different branch rather smoothly. She couldn't hog the branch that Lyra was going to climb up on. As she watched the girl struggle, she couldn't help the small smirk and the quiet laugh that escaped her. How cute. She couldn't climb trees as well as the huntress could. "What district are you from?" Panthea couldn't help but laugh as she asked the question and reached one hand down, pulling the girl the rest of the way up. Once she was sure the girl would not fall, she let go of her arm and shook her head. If she had known Lyra would be so much trouble, she wouldn't have brought her to this tree. She only chose this tree because it was the closest and offered a lot of coverage with it's leaves.
She settled in the crook of the branch that connected to the trunk, and draped one arm over her knee. Once she was settled, she remembered that Lyra was against asking questions without informing about oneself. So she added, "I'm from District Nine."

Lyra was not angry when Panthea laughed at her attempt to climb the tree. She knew she was not good at it as she would have liked. That was nothing to get angry about. There were a lot more worse things that people could do about her problem. At least she had gotten assistance to get on the branch. She could have let her hang there and eventually fall down. She had done that plenty of times before. She sat on the branch and placed he legs on it. She did not want her feet hanging down. Though she doubted she would meet someone else here she did not want to take the risk. She leaned back on the trunk and looked at Panthea.
"I'm from district eleven." She was surprised that Panthea offered the information so easily. They had been playing a fun game of tell before you ask, which she had started. Looks like the game had ended if the information was going to be provided before she could ask for it herself. She looked in front of her and looked at the leaves of the trees. "This might be my first and hopeful last time personally meeting someone from another district." It was constantly in her mind that she could still be selected for the games.
